Lancing Chamber Orchestra is a small, friendly amateur orchestra in West Sussex. We take the music seriously, but we're not precious about it. Rehearsals are focused and warm, the repertoire is proper and varied, and most people who join find they don't want to leave.
What to expect
We rehearse weekly. There's room to ask questions, time to actually work on the music, and enough biscuits to get through to the end of the session. You don't need to audition, just come ready to play and enjoy it. If you're playing at around grade 5 standard or above and interested to try new things, you'll fit right in.
Come and play with us
We're especially looking for string and brass musicians. The best way to find out if we're right for you is to come along to a rehearsal. Get in touch and we'll take it from there. We’re all young at heart but you will need to be over 18 to join!
Rehearsals take place on Thursdays from 19:00-21:15 at:

Transport:
There is a car park on-site.
By train: East Worthing is the nearest station, approximately a 12–15-minute walk away. From the station, follow Dominion Road north towards Broadwater. The church is on Dominion Road, close to Whytemead Primary School.
Worthing station is approximately a 20-minute walk from the church.
By bus: Route 16 stops at Whytemead School, almost directly outside the church, but operates during the daytime only. Routes 1, 5, 7, 23 and 23X stop at Broadwater Church on Broadwater Road, approximately a ten-minute walk away. Please note that most of these routes finish before our rehearsal ends; only route 5 currently provides a practical evening service. Please check the latest timetable before travelling
